It is an advanced US technology to hot press the filtered tropical hardwood fibre from 40mm to 3mm and then mould it into shape. By using this method, it maintains the thickness of door skin as well as making the appearance aesthetic, deep, sharp, clear contour and shadow carved moulded, especially natural wood grain effect.
WHY FINGER JOINT?
Finger joint is also known as a comb joint, it is formed by cutting board ends into matching finger-like projections that fit together. There are a few reasons why Frontiera is using finger joint wood. First of all, the finger joint wood pieces are straight and true, hence, the strength is good because it is stronger than conventional dimension lumber. Besides that, due to the structure reengineered that cut off the wood fibre, the probabilities of warping and bending is less on the finger joint.
